Technicolor Jam Vol 3: Dreamy Analogue Keys The third chapter of the two-handed dream. Technicolor Jam Vol 3 is 48 brand-new analogue keys loops. As before, the left hand lays down a deep foundation in the C1–C2 range and the right hand answers above it in C4–C5, drifting into echo and reverb. This volume trades polish for character: warped tape, toy pianos, steel pans, ghostly voices and a breathing flute. Every sound is new and was designed from scratch in u-he Diva: Velour Rhodes: a suitcase Rhodes that pans across the stereo field Warp Piano: a piano on a warped tape that wobbles gently in pitch Toy Piano: a tinny toy piano Moonlit Harpsichord: an analogue harpsichord Paper Koto: a koto that bends into each note Lagoon Pan: a steel pan Ghost Vox: a ghostly choir that sings like a vowel Glass Harmonica: rubbed glass Chapel Flute: a breathy flute stop Neon Pluck: a bright 80s pluck Ivory CP: an electric grand Phase Strings: a slowly phased string machine The writing is all new too: The left hand beats like a heart, plays broken octaves, pushes each chord in early, walks a bass line step by step into the next chord, rises into the changes with pickup fills, and floats three-against-four triplets under the bar. The right hand answers with lullaby lines sung in thirds and sixths, rocking Alberti figures, soft chord pulses that swell, melodies with grace notes, harp-rolled chords, stepping sequences and pentatonic lines. On the steel pan and the toy piano, the echo itself is in triplets. The space: Afterspace by Fletcher Audio Vol 3 explores all three engines of Afterspace, Fletcher Audio's hybrid reverb. Afterspace pairs fourteen measured impulse-response spaces with Orbit, Fletcher Audio's own algorithmic reverb engine. You can run either one alone or both together, and this volume uses all three ways: Algorithmic, Orbit on its own, for the sounds made of glass and light: the toy piano, the steel pan, the ghost choir, the glass harmonica and the neon pluck.
