Halo Keys: Dreamy Analogue Keys Two hands, one keyboard and a lot of air. Halo Keys is 48 dreamy analogue keys loops built on one idea. The left hand sets down a deep note or open chord, and the right hand answers high above it, drifting off into echo and reverb. Every sound was designed from scratch in u-he Diva. There are twelve original keys patches, from felt piano and a worn upright to electric-piano tines, glass bells, soft brass and a hazy string choir. The left hand plays in the C1–C2 range and stays warm, close and solid in mono, so it sits under a track without clouding the low end. The right hand plays in C4–C5. It runs through Diva's tape-style echo and then into a big, slow-blooming reverb. The space: Afterspace by Fletcher Audio Every right-hand part is drenched in Afterspace, Fletcher Audio's hybrid reverb. Afterspace pairs fourteen measured impulse-response spaces with Orbit, Fletcher Audio's own algorithmic reverb engine. In Hybrid mode both engines run at once, with Orbit fed by the dry keys and by the measured reflections, so the tails sound real and still go on and on. Each sound has its own planet: the long, shimmering halls of Neptune and Uranus the wide, open bloom of Kepler and Titan the near-endless tails of Saturn and Osiris Afterspace's Bloom control builds a soft, swelling late field behind every phrase, and pre-delay keeps each note's attack clear in front of it. Its wet filters lift the reverb clear of the low end, so the wash floats above the left hand instead of muddying it. The left hand gets only a touch of the smaller Earth space, enough to sit it in a natural room. Before the reverb, Fletcher Audio's 6386e Tube Compressor and Tape Deck add warmth, glue and a gentle tape drift to both hands.
