Summary

JUNGLE DRUMS PACK 154 chopped jungle drum loops and 154 construction kits, built entirely from our own commissioned acoustic drum recordings. Every hit in this pack comes from our own recorded acoustic kits: real kicks, snares, hats, rides and toms across seven kit setups. From them we programmed twelve original funk breaks at their natural tempos (92–136 BPM), with a drummer’s feel: backbeats sitting slightly late, loose ghost notes, swung hats, no two hits quite the same. Then we treated them the way jungle producers always have. Each break was sampled, pitched up like a hardware sampler, chopped into 16th slices at the transients and rebuilt at 160–174 BPM with rolls, reverses, pitched snares, stutters and drop-outs. Out of 300 candidate loops, these 154 were auditioned and picked by ear. No two loops share a pattern. The loops range from clean, tight rollers to dusty 12-bit edits and heavily crunched steppers. Many have extra weight built in: a reinforcing kick layer on 62 loops, a clipped backbeat snare on 67, and a second break layered on top on 27. 138 loops end on a fill, drawn from 15 different fills, and 16 run straight through for seamless looping. The 8-bar loops also turn around mid-phrase. Each loop also comes as a construction kit. The stems are rebuilt from the loop’s original session rather than separated from the finished file, so every drum is fully isolated, with no bleed. Each stem still carries the full loop’s processing, and together the stems add back up to the loop.
