Acoustic Drums Volume 1 A live acoustic kit, recorded on 14 microphones, delivered raw, processed and ready to loop. Acoustic Drums Volume 1 captures a full acoustic kit in a real room. Every hit was recorded on 14 microphones at once: inside and outside the kick, a sub kick, top, side and bottom of the snare, close mics on the hi-hat and toms, a stereo pair of overheads, a mono room, a stereo room and a front-of-kit mic. You get every mic as its own sample, so you can build the kit sound you want. Each hit is also blended into a ready-made Full Mix, plus a processed version with tape saturation and a small room. On top of that are 69 drum loops across hip hop, neo soul and funk, each in Full, Kick & Snare and Tops versions. The raw samples are untouched apart from level. There is no EQ, compression or effects, just the drums as they were played. Every mic of a hit starts at the same point, so layering kick in, kick out and sub kick stays in phase. Every one-shot is tagged Soft, Medium or Hard, so you know how hard it was played. What’s inside Raw one-shots: 613 files 93 hits in total: 8 kicks 21 snares and 4 buzz/press strokes 9 rack toms and 11 floor toms 30 hi-hats: closed, half open, open and short open 10 cymbals Every hit is supplied as each individual mic (520 files) and as a Full Mix of all mics blended (93 files). Trimmed to each drum’s natural decay and peak-normalised. Processed one-shots: 93 files Every Full Mix hit with tape saturation and a small room, ready to drop straight into a mix. Loops: 69 loops, 207 files Every loop comes as Full, Kick & Snare and Tops (hats and cymbals). Four bars, seamless, with tempo in the file name. Played from the raw kit, bus-compressed and mastered. Hip Hop (25): Boom Bap, Lo-Fi, Jazz-Hop, Half-Time, Bounce and Breakbeat, 70–146 BPM. Neo Soul (19): Pocket, Slow Jam, Broken and Gospel grooves, 62–98 BPM.
